Phuchowki is one of the highest hills around the Kathmandu Valley, standing at a height of 2762m. A days hiking to Pulchowki will offer you the chance to observe local lifestyles and a wide range of flora and fauna. It is also home to 250 species of birds, moths and butterflies. The small shrine dedicated to goddess Phulchowki Mai is at the top of the hill.

Godavari is situated at the foot of Phulchowki, 14km south of Kathmandu. Visit the Royal Botanical Garden that exhibits almost all the types of flora found in Nepal. Locals used the garden as picnic spot. The 'Godavari Kunda', a holy place dedicated to Lord Shiva, nearby attracts thousands of visitors every year.
